Steve began his real estate career in 1971 shortly after graduating from the University of Virginia. In 1975 he opened his own brokerage, working out of his home. Through the years, Steven G. Walther, Inc. Realtor grew and eventually the Walther’s purchased a building on Titus Avenue in 1986. Through the years Steve Walther’s office was known as the Hometown Realtor of Irondequoit. Steve and his agents were knowledgeable of Irondequoit and the surrounding suburbs and became a pillar in the community. The name Walther was associated with Irondequoit and the community relied on Steve and his agents as the go-to people when it came to buying or selling.
Steve’s son Greg joined the business in 1999 and his daughter Erica joined in 2003. There have been agents that worked for Steve for over 20 years. He has clients who return after more than 30 years asking him to resell their property or the property of a family member.
Steve has enjoyed his 40+ year career in real estate. Despite all the advances in technology and the changes in the industry, real estate is still a “people business.” It is a business that thrives on personal relationships and the ability to make people feel comfortable when pursuing one of the largest financial transactions they will encounter. There are few people with the same knowledge and expertise in real estate.
“I look forward to helping many more of my community members and friends as they make a transition in their life.”
